CF, Rep. Harding and Farm Share Partner for Food Distribution Event

College of Central Florida recently issued the following announcement.

The College of Central Florida will partner with Rep. Joe Harding and Farm Share for a food distribution event at the CF Ocala Campus on Saturday, April 16, beginning at 10 a.m. The college is located at 3001 S.W. College Road.

The food will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors should enter the campus from the main entrance on College Road and will exit on Southwest 20th Street. The distribution will be held in a drive-through format for social distancing purposes.

“There are so many Florida families in desperate need of fresh, nutritious foods,” said Rep. Harding. “I look forward to serving the community by partnering with Farm Share and the College of Central Florida to host this event.”

Founded in 1991, Farm Share is a nonprofit food bank that supplies over 23 million Florida households with fresh fruits and vegetables. The organization partners with more than 3,000 food pantries, churches, schools and other nonprofits throughout the state to distribute food to those in need.
