Gus Bilirakis, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 12th district since 2007, has highlighted recent community engagements and appreciation efforts through a series of social media posts.
On September 15, 2025, Bilirakis wrote about meeting with local veterans in Citrus, Hernando, and Pasco counties: “I recently had the opportunity to meet with members of my Veterans Advisory Committee in Citrus, Hernando, and Pasco counties. Their insights are invaluable in helping me stay connected to the challenges facing our local Veteran community and in shaping my work on their behalf in https://t.co/lZWrIpdnRI”.
Later that day, he acknowledged the role of truck drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week: “I’m celebrating truck drivers during ATA’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, September 14-20. Without them, we wouldn’t have groceries, household essentials, or medical supplies! Don’t forget to #ThankATrucker in honor of #NTDAW25. https://t.co/aC8BxOEtPI”.
On September 16, Bilirakis shared his participation at a nonprofit event supporting veterans and first responders: “I recently had the privilege of joining fellow community leaders at this year’s Cryoeeze Gala in Pasco County. Cryoeeze is a remarkable nonprofit dedicated to supporting our Veterans and First Responders by providing alternative and complementary treatments for traumatic brain https://t.co/ndge69P21N”.
