This is a notice to all contractors from Hernando County Government. It was brought to our attention that a phishing email is going around asking for contractors to “securely log in within 24 hours to avoid a license suspension.” This email did not come from Hernando County Government and has been directly reported to appropriate authorities.
The Hernando County Building Division does not send license renewal information via email. License renewal information is only sent via mail with a month advance notice. There is currently not an option to receive reminders via email.
If you are questioning whether you received a spam email, please contact the Hernando County Building Division at (352) 754-4050 to verify if the information you received was accurate.
Please note: The Hernando County Building Division does not send out billing statements or specifically ask for personal information via email.
