PHSC’s Mascot is Boomer the Bobcat

Boomer the Bobcat conveys bold confidence, fearlessness and impressive courage—all characteristics that we value at the College and in our student athletes. A solitary predator by nature, the bobcat represents a culture of persistence and adaptability in an ever-changing environment, exemplified by PHSC’s students, faculty and staff.

Boomer arrived at PHSC in 2017, as a result of a new bold vision for the future that included the addition of a fifth full-service campus in Wesley Chapel and the move to becoming a state college that offers bachelor’s degrees.

Boomer the bobcat replaced Conquor, the conquistador, who hung up his helmet and retired his sword after 24 years as the PHSC mascot.
