Hernando County Florida issued the following announcement.

Hernando County Board of County Commissioners is accepting applications from individuals wishing to serve as a member on the County committees listed below. These positions are currently vacant. The following positions will become vacant as of December 31, 2020.

Board of Construction and Regulation

• One architect/engineer position
• One engineer position
• One mechanical contractor position
• Three consumer positions
• One electrical contractor position
• One general contractor position
• One roofing contractor position

Fine Arts Council

• Three positions

Library Advisory Committee

• One position

Tourist Development Council

• One non-tax collecting position

Port Authority Committee

• Two positions

All applicants must be residents and registered voters in Hernando County. These are voluntary, non-paid positions and may be designated as an alternate member position.

Applications are available at the County Administrator’s Office, located at 20 North Main Street, Room 263, Brooksville, FL 34601, by calling (352) 754-4002 or by visiting www.HernandoCounty.us/Committees. Applications must be returned to the County Administrator’s Office no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020.
