St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church issued the following announcement on July 16.
In the Middle Ages, a small band of hermits built a chapel on Mount Carmel, the site of Elijah's battle with the prophets of Baal. The chapel was dedicated to Mary, and the hermits were eventually called "Carmelites."
