City of Broksville Announces Advisory Board Vacancies

City of Brooksville issued the following announcement on July 21.

The City of Brooksville is now accepting applications from individuals interested in volunteering their time to serve as a member of the following advisory boards or commissions:

CURRENT AVAILABLE POSITIONS:

Cemetery Advisory Committee

One (1) full-time position for 4-year term of office through December 31, 2025

Beautification Board

 One (1) full-time position for unexpired four-year term of office through December 31, 2023.

Brooksville Housing Authority

One (1) alternate position for four-year term of office after appointment

Parks and Recreation Advisory Board

 One (1) alternate position to fill unexpired four-year term of office through December 31, 2022.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE BEGINNING JANUARY, 2022:

Cemetery Advisory Committee:

One (1) full-time position for four-year term of office through December 31, 2025

Firefighters’ Pension Trust Fund Board of Trustees

Two (2) full-time positions for a four-year term of office through December 31, 2025.

Great Brooksvillian Screening Committee

Four (4) full-time positions for a 1-year term of office through December 31, 2022.

Parks and Recreation Advisory Board

Two (2) full-time positions for 4-year terms of office through December 31, 2025.

Planning and Zoning Commission (City residency required)

Two (2) full-time positions for four-year terms of office through December 31, 2025.

 One (1) alternate position for four-year term of office through December 31, 2025.

Resumes alone will not be accepted. An application form may be obtained from the office of the City Clerk or on the City of Brooksville website and must be completed and returned to the City Clerk’s Office at 201 Howell Ave. Positions are open until filled. Contact the City Clerk’s Office at (352) 540-3810 with any questions.

All applicants for these volunteer positions must be registered voters in the State of Florida. A background check will be required on any applicant.
