Pasco-Hernando State College recently named Marcia Austin, Ed.D., as senior vice president of technology and distance education, chief information officer, and Reginald Wilson as provost of the North Campus in Brooksville.

Marcia Austin, Ed.D., Senior Vice President of Technology and Distance Education, Chief Information Officer

Marcia Austin, Ed.D., was appointed as the new senior vice president of technology and distance education, chief information officer, effective August 1, 2021. Previously Austin served as PHSC’s dean of workforce development, career and technical education since August of 2018. Prior to that, Austin was employed with Hernando County Schools for 28 years, serving in the Hernando County Schools as a mathematics instructor, principal, interim assistant superintendent, and most recently, as the district supervisor of secondary programs where she served as the liaison administrator for dual enrollment programs between Hernando County Schools and Pasco-Hernando State College. She was an adjunct professor at PHSC for more than seven years.

Austin earned a Doctorate in education leadership and education specialist in education degree from NOVA Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a Master of Science degree in education from Fordham University, Bronx, NY; and a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, NY.

Reginald Wilson, Provost, North Campus

Reginald Wilson was selected as the new provost for the North Campus in Brooksville, effective August 1, 2021. Wilson served as acting provost of the North Campus and the associate dean of academic affairs and retention services for nearly one year. Prior to his employment at the PHSC North Campus, Wilson served as the assistant dean of student affairs at PHSC’s West Campus.

As a native Floridian from Daytona Beach, Wilson, has demonstrated his value in higher education for nearly two decades. He has served students and communities, while being employed at several higher educational institutions, in Florida and in North Carolina in the areas of academic affairs administration, student affairs, and has worked as an adjunct professor.

Wilson earned his bachelor’s degree in history at Guilford College in North Carolina and a master’s degree in education with a focus in curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix.
