Edward Waters College Athletics recently issued the following announcement.
Edward Waters started their three-game home stand with a bang on Wednesday evening, knocking off the visiting Morris College Hornets, 3-0 (25-10, 25-1, 25-7) at the Adams-Jenkins Community Sports & Music Complex, picking up their sixth consecutive victory.
EWU (13-6) made quick work of the visitors from South Carolina, hitting a robust .520 in the match and also racking up an impressive 26 service aces in the match.
Sophomore Caytlin Willis carried the mantle for the Lady Tigers with a match high 10 kills on 12 total attempts. Freshman Saldy Amparo Smith had eight total kills on the evening for EWU, also on 12 total attempts.
Junior Arielly De Souza had a match high eight service aces on the night, while senior libero Anyssa Guzman recorded five.
Senior Katarina Ribar had 17 assists in the match, while Guzman added a game high nine digs.
EWU will continue their home stand on Tuesday, October 12th at 6:00pm as they will look for revenge against Albany State at the Adams-Jenkins Community Sports & Music Complex.
