City of Brooksville issued the following announcement on Oct. 5.
On August 16, 2021, during a regular Council Meeting, the Brooksville City Council completed the voting process with the announcement of Ann Mau as the Great Brooksvillian of
the Year for 2021. Ann, a 58-year resident of the area, will be honored posthumously, during a reception being held on Monday, October 11, 2021. The reception will take place at
5:30 pm at the City of Brooksville's City Hall located at 201 Howell Ave., Brooksville, and the public is invited. The “Great Brooksvillian of the Year” is an annual award program
established by the City of Brooksville, Florida in 2002, whereby distinguished individuals are nominated by citizens to be recognized and honored for their significant contributions
