Hernando County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Dec. 21.
We are pleased to announce our two newest K-9 deputies, Deputy C. Reid and Deputy S. Derryberry.
Deputy Reid will be the new handler of K-9 Chase and will be attending the full K-9 school in January.
Deputy Derryberry is a former Brooksville Police Department K-9 handler. He will be the new handler of K-9 Meck and will be completing State Standardized testing with K-9 Meck.
