Event Details

Hernando County Utilities Water Conservation presents Florida-Friendly Landscaping. Topics include Right Plant-Right Place, Water Efficiently, Fertilize Appropriately, Mulch, Attract Wildlife, Control Pests Responsibly, Recycle, Control Stormwater Runoff and Protect the Waterfront. Lilly Browning will lead the one-hour class. This month's topic is "Florida Friendly Landscaping for the Seasonal Resident". Lilly will discuss how seasonal residents of Central Florida can have a landscape that is environmentally and financially sustainable, and how to make the most of their winter retreats.Lilly has been the FFL Program Coordinator since 2014. She has resided in Hernando County since 1978. Her education is in horticulture and environmental studies. She works to help residents learn environmentally responsible ways to enjoy their Florida yards. Space is limited and registration through Lilly Browning is required.
