Lastly, Tamara Shash tried to bring us back by herself at times and was amazing tonight.”

Shash finished shooting 6-of-11 from the field and 3-of-5 from downtown. Jenni Whitlow also found her way into the scoring column notching six points.

The Lions defense finished with 42 rebounds and nine steals, scoring 21 points on turnovers. Jumoke Adaramoye led the Lions at the glass with a team-high six rebounds. Adaramoye also finished with a block and a steal. Shash led the Lions with a team-high three steals.

The Lions closed out the midweek matchup with the Mocs finishing on seven of their last nine field goals. Saint Leo shot for their best from the field in the fourth quarter shooting 9-of-21 and 7-of-13 from the perimeter.

“Kudos to the bench effort tonight. It carried us at times defensively” said Crocitto.

The Green & Gold bench finished the evening scoring 21 points in the paint.

The Lions will stay on the road and travel to Fort Lauderdale for a weekend matchup against Nova Southeastern University Saturday, January 15th. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
