The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved and adopted the resolution of a new fee schedule at the public BOCC meeting on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. The Hernando County Building Division will be implementing this new fee schedule effective October 1, 2022. The fee schedule includes a detailed list of the cost for all permits, plan reviews, development reviews, inspections, certificate of competency, licensing fees, fines & penalties, administrative reviews, appeals & fees, application fees, etc. The fee schedule also includes a refund policy and a breakdown of the valuation of the job used to calculate fees.
Construction contracts signed prior to the implementation date shall be issued permits through the current schedule of fees for sixty days from the date of enactment of the resolution.
